Rossignol lifts Caribou past Mount Desert Island

CARIBOU – Jarryd Rossignol scored 15 of his game-high 20 points in the second half as Caribou earned a pointworthy Class B high school boys basketball victory over Mount Desert Island, 55-51 on Friday.

Kyle Corrigan connected for 16 points for the Vikings.

Ben Young paced the Trojans with 10 points.

The Trojans trailed most of the game, and were down 32-24 entering the final period, but outscored the Wildcats 17-8.

Amethyst Cousins scored six of her 12 points in the fourth for MDI while Falt finished with 10.
