Sea Dogs’ Hot Stove Tour ready to begin

PORTLAND – The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have announced details of their annual Hot Stove Tour. It will kick off Jan. 22 and run through Jan. 26. Taking part in this years event are Sea Dogs pitcher Tommy Hottovy, Slugger the Sea Dog, front office personnel and the 2006 Eastern League Championship Trophy. New Sea Dogs Manager Arnie Beyeler will join the tour on Jan. 22.

The weeklong event will tour three New England states, visiting service organizations, schools, hospitals and the media. The 2007 tour takes the Sea Dogs to Brunswick, Lewiston, Auburn, Portland, Saco, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

The Hot Stove Tour will continue with a Jan. 26 dinner at 5:30 p.m. at Keeley the Katerer on Warren Avenue in Portland. Beyeler and Hottovy will be the featured speakers at the dinner. Tickets to the dinner are $18 and can be purchased online at www.seadogs.com or by calling the Sea Dogs at 207-874-9300.
