LIMESTONE – Danny Hayes recorded a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds as Limestone Community School/Maine School and Science and Mathematics won its ninth straight, 58-43 over Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook in high school boys basketball action Tuesday.
Chris Kirchner netted 14 points, including 12 in the second half for the Eagles.
Colby Clark paced the Warriors with 14 points. Robert Toothaker added 13 and Dakota Sleeper 11.

Lee led 31-30 at halftime, but Robbie Rogers scored eight points in the third quarter to help the defending Class C state champs take a 51-41 lead.
Lee scored the first five points of the fourth quarter to pull within 51-46, but Brandon Tomah scored 11 of his game-high 25 points – including three of his five 3-pointers -in the final period to help the Blue Devils preserve the win.
Rogers, Chris Taylor and Sam Bell each added 13 points for Calais, with Taylor adding 10 rebounds. Cal Shorey grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds for the Blue Devils.
Devan Parker paced Lee with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Peter Pickering scored 14 and Sydney Surratt added 11.
