SANFORD – Local and state police were investigating the death of a young man following an unspecified incident at a variety store Tuesday night, a law enforcement spokesman said.

A second young man was being questioned, according to Maine state police spokesman Stephen McCausland.

Further details, including the identities of the two men, were not released.
