CODY LAITE
Laite, a senior on the Camden Hills of Rockport wrestling team, set a school record for career victories by recording his 158th win during a multi-team meet at Medomak Valley of Waldoboro on Saturday. Laite also scored his 100th career pin, becoming just the third wrestler in the state to achieve that milestone.
Small School (Classes C-D)
DANNY HAYES
Hayes, a center on the Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics basketball team, had two double-doubles as the Eagles extended their winning streak to nine games. Hayes had 16 points and 11 rebounds in a 48-47 win over Van Buren, and 20 points and 12 rebounds in a 58-43 victory over Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook.
GIRLS
Big School (Classes A-B)
JENNIE LUCY
Bangor indoor track and field team member Lucy earned wins in the 400 meters (1:02.79) and 800 (2:31.36) and anchored Bangor’s victorious 4×220 relay (1:54.83) as the Rams earned a team win Saturday.
Small School (Classes C-D)
RONNI ROBINSON
Robinson, a senior forward for the Katahdin girls basketball team, led the Cougars to two wins in three games, recording game-highs in scoring in all three contests. She scored 21 points in a 52-46 win over Class C Hodgdon Monday, 17 in a 42-41 loss to Bangor Christian Saturday, and 18 in a 59-46 victory over Fort Fairfield on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
