Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Derik Briggs graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. A 2005 graduate of Sumner Memorial High School, Briggs is the son of Kevin Briggs of Steuben and the grandson of Vera Briggs of Gouldsboro.
