MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Bangor’s Zak Ray hit a 3-pointer to open overtime and give Bates College of Lewiston the lead for good as the Bobcats edged Wesleyan 59-56 Friday night for their fifth-straight NESCAC victory.

Ray finished with 13 points and five assists and Bryan Wholey added 12 points and seven rebounds. Pat Halloran netted 11 points and Damon McGinn added 10 rebounds.

Robert Kelly scored a game-high 23 points and Jared Ashe had 14 for Wesleyan.

Andrew Hippert scored 17 points, Jordan Fliegel tallied 14 and Kevin Bradley had 13 for Bowdoin. Mark Phillips added 12 points while Kyle Jackson chipped in with 11 for the Polar Bears.

Robert Taylor paced Trinity with a game-high 22 points.
