WINSLOW – Camden Hills High School comfortably won its fifth straight Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B wrestling championship Saturday with 195.5 points and Oxford Hills of South Paris came away with the Class A title.

The Windjammers were led by Ivan Bragg, Cody Laite and Jacob Berry, who won individual titles in 119, 140 and 152 pounds, respectively.

Camden placed seven wrestlers in the championship finals and four more in the consolation finals.

Class B runner-up Belfast scored 150 points and had six championship finalists, five of whom (Jimmy Spencer in 130, Kote Aldus in 145, Mike Rolerson in 160, Travis Spencer in 189, and Logan Kelley in 215) won.

Other individual championships were won by Sam Webber from Mt. Blue of Farmington at 125 pounds, Matt Delgallo of Gardiner at 112, and Sam Helm from Erskine Academy of South China at 285.

Oxford Hills scored 108 points to finish first while the Class A runner-up was Morse High of Bath with 95.5 points.

Aldus was chosen the meet’s most outstanding wrestler and Mark Dolloff of Oxford Hills was picked coach of the year.

The teams will compete this Saturday in Eastern Maine wrestling regionals with Class A at Cony High of Augusta, Class B at Medomak Valley in Waldoboro, and Class C at Bucksport. All matches begin at approximately 10 a.m.
