The article “Phone use while driving targeted” (BDN, Jan. 18) states “critics of the proposals say the restrictions represent a slippery slope.” If lawmakers ban cell phones, then they’ll be obligated to tackle other distractions.
The lawmakers have already started down the slippery slope when the city of Bangor passed the no smoking in vehicles with children law.
