Stearns rallies past Howlers

MILLINOCKET – The Stearns Minutemen trailed by nine early, then outscored the Penobscot Valley Howlers 15-4 in the third quarter en route to a 55-41 schoolgirl basketball victory Saturday.

Deanna Michaud sparked Stearns with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Mikaela Rosebush, Amy Collinsworth and Angela MacDonald contributed nine points apiece.

Casey McCluskey netted 17 points for Penobscot Valley of Howland. Mindy Dolley added 12.
