COLLINGWOOD, Nova Scotia – A $1 million loan from the Nova Scotia government will enable the province’s largest producer of blueberry-harvesting machines to expand its markets into Quebec and the eastern U.S., the president of Doug Bragg Enterprises said Tuesday.
Besides manufacturing mechanical blueberry harvesters, the company, which employs 32 people, also makes industrial-size flail mowers and mulchers as well as conveyor belts for the food industry.
It also is doing research on the development of a cranberry harvester.
