GORHAM – Ashley Marble had 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the fourth-ranked University of Southern Maine Huskies to a 70-57 women’s college basketball win over Husson College of Bangor Wednesday.

It was the 11th consecutive double-double for Topsfield native Marble, who became the first USM player to score 1,000 points and pull down 1,000 rebounds in a career.

Angela Santa Fe scored 16 points for the Huskies, who have won 15 straight this season and extended their home win streak to 62 games.

Carmen Ballard led the Eagles with 12 points. Chere Wickstrom and Jenny Rollins each scored 11.

Michael Sandoval’s 17 points paced the Owls and Travis Hovey added 16 points. Anthony Wingate and Mike Latchford scored 14 points apiece.
