SAINT JOHN, New Brunswick – The Brewer Youth Hockey Peewee Travel Team took home the gold in the annual Hilton Port City Hockey “A” Tournament held Jan. 19-21 in Saint John, New Brunswick.

The team was undefeated in all five games, outscoring its opponents 25 goals to six.

Culminating the weekend was a dazzling come-from-behind win, with the winning goal coming in the final two minutes of the championship game over the St. Stephen Storm. Down three goals to none, the Brewer Peewees pounded in four unanswered goals to claim the title.

As one of the top teams in the state, the Brewer Peewee Travel Team will participate in the Maine Amateur Hockey Tournament starting with the playoffs Feb. 16-18 at TJ Ryan Arena in Brewer.

The players also will compete in the Tom Caldwell Memorial Tournament March 2-4 at the TJ Ryan Arena.
