James sinks FT’s, WA Raiders

BAILEYVILLE – Chad James sank two free-throws with no time left on the clock as Woodland earned a pointworthy 59-58 boys basketball victory over Washington Academy of East Machias Wednesday.

James tallied a game-high 29 points to lead Woodland. Ben Sears added 10 points for the Dragons.

Mike VonRotz scored 17 points to pace Washington Academy.

Aaron Healey led three John Bapst players in double figures with 15 points. Ethan Cushman notched 12 for the Crusaders and Charlie Merritt 10.
