The Maine Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association will hold its annual winter awards banquet Saturday at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland Saturday.

Saturday’s schedule starts off with a 3 p.m. business meeting followed by a 5:30 p.m. dinner and the awards ceremony at 7 p.m. A silent auction for 22 stallions benefiting the MSBOA scholarship fund will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Featured speakers at the dinner are Maine commissioner of agriculture Seth Bradstreet and Christopher McErlean, Penn National’s vice president of racing.
