WATERVILLE – Dan Oliphant became the first Colby College graduate to sign with an NFL team after agreeing to a free agent contract with the Baltimore Ravens Tuesday.

The 2006 graduate will play in NFL Europa, which starts training camp in March and regular play in April, and may be invited to Baltimore’s training camp in late summer.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound offensive lineman was a two-time New England Small College Athletic Conference first team selection as a three-year starter.

Baltimore director of scouting Eric DeCosta is a 1993 Colby graduate.
