The Rev. Susan M. Lederhouse will be installed as rector Sunday at St. James’ Episcopal Church. Bishop Chilton R. Knudsen, head of the Episcopal Diocese of Maine, will preside. Lederhouse, 52, worked for 25 years as a librarian in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Tennessee and Florida. She was ordained in 2005. Before moving to Old Town last month, she served as assistant rector at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Sparta, N.J. Lederhouse attended Hollins College, Roanoke, Va., and earned a master’s degree in library science from the University of Illinois-Urbana. She studied for the ministry at General Theological Seminary in New York City. She succeeds the Rev. Mary Ann Taylor, who became rector in 1994 and was the first woman priest to serve the parish.
