PrISM, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the spiritual well-being of students of all faiths at Northern Maine Community College and the University of Maine at Presque Isle, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The group’s mission is to provide “quiet support” to students,” said the Rev. James Morgan of New Sweden, in a news release. Morgan, who is pastor of the Lutheran churches in New Sweden and Stockholm, served as a Navy chaplain for many years. For 20 years, PrISM’s philosophy has been to provide “the opportunity for local campus communities to connect with an understanding chaplain who is sensitive to specific and diversified spiritual needs.”
