Troy, 9, talented storyteller

Troy is a vibrant 9-year-old boy with wonderful freckles and strawberry blond hair. He likes to ride his bike, play basketball and spend time at the playground.

He also enjoys playing video games, especially Power Rangers.

Troy is a talented storyteller. He has a good sense of humor and enjoys joking around.

Troy is engaging and delights in spending one-on-one time with adults. Troy has a strong sense of fairness, especially when playing games with his peers. Troy responds well to gaining privileges, particularly earning special time with people.

Troy is eagerly anticipating entering the third grade this fall.

He receives Title I reading assistance, but is mainstreamed in all of his classes. Troy is a detail-oriented child who is most successful doing hands-on tasks and learning.

Troy needs a home that will provide him with structure, stability, nurturance and positive reinforcement. It is important to respond to Troy with calm, supportive and consistent limit setting.

Troy has stated that he would prefer to be an only child. However he is open to living with a family with older children.

Troy is one of the 155 children in state Department of Health and Human Services care who is seeking an adoptive family.
