Husson’s Carmen Ballard chipped in with 14 points while Crystal Martin added 13 and Jenny Rollins netted 11.

UM-Machias loses two
UMaine-Machias dropped two games this weekend as Paul Smiths College earned a 49-45 win Saturday in Paul Smiths, N.Y., and the College of St. Joseph won 73-43 Sunday in Rutland, Vt.
On Saturday, Anna Kostuc led Paul Smiths with 18 points. Amanda Chandler and Kelsey Pauwels both scored 11 points for the Clippers.
On Sunday, Vicky Guetti led the College of St. Joseph with 28 points. Chandler paced the Clippers with 23 points.

Maine sweeps Vermont
At Burlington, Vt., Sunday, Taryn Peacock swatted home a loose puck during a goalmouth scramble with 2:01 remaining to break a 2-2 tie and supply Maine with the triumph. Maine beat Vermont 3-1 on Saturday.
Sonia Corriveau scored a goal and assisted on another to help the Bears rally from a 2-0 deficit.
On Sunday, Vanessa Vani and Kelly Law, also scored for the 9-17-2 Black Bears. Brigitte Laflamme and Kate Sunstrum provided assists. Genevieve Turgeon made 19 saves on 21 shots.
Shivaun Siegl stopped 14 of 18 shots for 3-23-2 Vermont.
On Saturday, Sunstrum scored two power-play goals to lift Maine.
Robyn Law scored a second-period goal off of a Vani assist for the Bears. Laflamme provided two assists. Sonia Corriveau and Jenna Cowan had an assist. Turgeon turned away 19 of 20 shots.
Jenilee Roy stopped 22 of 25 shots for Vermont.

Charles Calligan scored 26 points, including hit two free throws with eight seconds left, to propel the Clippers to a 75-73 victory Saturday over Paul Smiths College in Paul Smiths, N.Y. He followed that up with a 17-point effort in Sunday’s game but UMaine-Machias fell to the College of St. Joseph 99-84 Sunday in Rutland, Vt.
In Saturday’s game, David Butler chipped in with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocked shots for UMM and Anthony McCoy added 12 points. Floyd Thorne paced Paul Smiths with 21 points.
In Sunday’s game, Richard Ortega led the College of St. Joseph with 16 points. McCoy and Butler both scored 21 points for the Clippers and David Douglas scored 10 points.
