Tidbits

They call it puppy love

Crazy for your cats? Fancy your fish? Are your doggies your darlings? Check out this year’s edition of NECCO’s Conversation Hearts, which pay tribute to pet lovers. With sayings include “My Pet,” “Love Bird” and “URA Tiger,” you can let out your own inner animal. Grrrrr!

Naughty? Nice!

You’ve been a bad, bad boy – and not in a good way. No, instead of sweeping her off her feet, you swept Valentine’s Day clear out of your mind. Clearly, you need to get out of the doghouse – and make up for your memory lapse in a big way. Historic Inns of Rockland can help. Their Get out of the Doghouse Package includes a framed photo of you, scanned into a picture of a doghouse, with an “I’m sorry” note attached. Olive branches, “Love on the Rocks” gourmet chocolates, and a romantic getaway to LimeRock Inn, Captain Lindsey House or Berry Manor Inn. Gourmet breakfast and a gift certificate that can be used for a delicious meal round out the mix. Packages range from $298 to $598 per couple.
