BAR HARBOR – The sixth-ranked Mount Desert Island Trojans advanced to an Eastern Maine Class B quarterfinal with a 57-53 girls basketball prelim win over the No. 11 Mount View Mustangs Tuesday night.
Lindsey Lewis tossed in 16 points for the winners, Amber Orman netted 12 points and Susan Falt 11. Amethyst Cousins tallied eight points, grabbed 10 rebounds and added five steals while Kelsey Stratton contributed eight points and seven rebounds.
Jen Masessa paced No. 11 Mount View of Thorndike with 15 points. Tonya Jones added 13 points and Kristin Masessa 10.
