BOSTON – University of Maine junior Jessie Ellis-Alcaide became the first Black Bear to win an ECAC Swimming and Diving Championships title after taking first in both the 50 and 100 freestyle.

Ellis-Alcaide of Harpswell finished with a time of 23.91 seconds in the 50 and 51.97 in the 100. The Black Bears finished ninth out of 16 teams with 177 points.
