Brock Bradford
Husson College freshman guard Brock Bradford was named the North Atlantic Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week. Bradford averages 8.8 points, three rebounds, one assist, and two steals. In an overtime win over the University of Maine at Farmington, he had seven points, five rebounds, and three steals.
Kari Simpson
University of Maine at Farmington senior forward Kari Simpson was honored as the North Atlantic Conference and Maine Women’s Basketball Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week. Simpson averaged 20 points and 11.3 rebounds in three wins. She shot 58.5% from the floor and .455 from three-point range.
Caitlyn Laflin
Farmingdale native Caitlyn Laflin was named the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. The University of Maine Farmington freshman averaged 13 points and five rebounds, including 17 points against Mount Ida, in three wins for the Beavers.
Adam Haggerty
University of Southern Maine junior Adam Haggerty was named the Little East Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. He cleared a person-best 4.57 meters to win the pole vault in the New England Division III Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championships.
James Spaulding
University of Southern Maine sophomore James Spaulding was honored as Men’s Track Athlete of the Week by the Little East Conference. Spaulding set a school-record in the pentathlon, scoring 3,295 points for a third-place finish at the New England Division III Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Melissa Bellemore
University of Southern Maine senior Melissa Bellemore has been recognized by the Little East Conference as its Field Athlete of the Week for the second-straight week. Bellemore won her second New England Division III title in three years by clearing 3.51 in the pole vault and qualified for next month;s NCAA Div. III National Championships.
