GORHAM – Stacey Kent scored 27 points to lead No. 1 University of Southern Maine to a 97-59 women’s basketball victory over No. 8 University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in the Little East Conference quarterfinals Tuesday night.
Ashley Marble had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Huskies. Lindsey Welch totaled 11 points and four steals and Angela Santa Fe added 10 points.
Vicki Andruszkiewicz led UMass Dartmouth with 25 points.

At Cocoa Beach, Fla., Corey Harding hit a triple and three singles and drove in three runs to lead the University of Maine-Presque Isle to the 16-3 win over City College of New York in the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader. The Beavers beat the Owls 12-5 in the first game.
In the first game, Juan Zorrilla hit a double and two singles for the Beavers and Randy Flores doubled and singled to knock in three runs.
Brandon Elie had a double and a single for the Owls and Brian Morrison hit a two-run single in the second inning.
In the second game, Elie had three singles and two RBIs for the Owls and Morrison added a triple and a single with two runs driven in.
Gerry Maldonado doubled and singled for the Beavers.
