GRAND LAKE STREAM – The Downeast Lakes Land Trust has elected Ernest Carle to its board of directors.

Carle, of Princeton, has a degree in forest engineering from the University of Maine and is a procurement forester for Domtar in Woodland.

Over the last year, Carle has planted chestnut seedlings with pupils at Princeton Elementary School and brought a youth group to hike the trust’s new Little Mayberry Cove Trail in Grand Lake Stream.
