BAR HARBOR – Mount Desert Island High School will host the eastern regional of the Maine Drama Festival on March 9 and 10 in the Higgins-Demas Theater.

The two-day festival will feature eight performances by high school drama clubs from Hancock, Washington and Waldo counties.

Tickets for the festival are $7 for adults and $4 for students and may be purchased at the door only.

Friday’s session begins at 7 p.m. with performances by Belfast Area High School, Old Town High School and Shead Memorial High School. Saturday’s session is scheduled to start at noon and will feature Ellsworth High School and Washington Academy. The festival wraps up Saturday night at 7 p.m. when Sumner Memorial High School, Calais High School and MDI High School take the stage.
