MARS HILL – A Presque Isle woman escaped serious injury Saturday after her vehicle struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof.

Jacquelyne Morrow, 24, was southbound on U.S. Route 1A when the tires on her vehicle got caught up in the slush near a curve, according to Deputy Lawrence Goff of the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department. Goff said Morrow’s 2001 PT Cruiser did a “180 spin,” struck an embankment and flipped over onto its roof.

Morrow refused medical treatment at the scene, according to Goff. She was wearing her seat belt when the 7:30 a.m. accident occurred, he said.

Damage to her vehicle was estimated at $4,000.
