Waterville man faces charge of stalking

An Orono woman came home Sunday afternoon to find her ex-boyfriend lying on her bed, according to a police report. She asked him to leave and he refused. He said he wanted to talk to her.

To get Joel Hill, 26, of Waterville out of the house she offered to talk to him in the car if he went to the bank with her. Once in the car he refused to get out again.

She drove to the Maine State Police barracks, got out of the car and crouched outside the passenger window negotiating with Hill until a trooper came out to investigate.

The trooper called the Orono Police Department. Hill was arrested and charged with stalking.
