Much has been on the TV news of late regarding the fact that Hillary Rodham Clinton is the “front-runner” from the Democratic Party for the nomination to run for president in 2008. I am 81 years old and have lived through many presidents. I do not feel that the U.S. is ready for a female president, and I shudder to think what might happen if Mrs. Clinton is elected.
To emphasize my thinking, she has been a hypocrite about the Iraq war, being all for it in the beginning, but now that she has aspirations for being the commander-in-chief, suddenly she has done a 180-degree turn and now thinks the war was horrible – let’s end it.
Also, one Clinton as president is about all the country can possibly endure. If anyone thinks we are having serious problems now, and we all know that we do, if Hillary becomes the next president, look out, folks! To quote the late Jimmy Durante, “You ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.”
