ORONO – The fourth annual Super Suppah raised $35,000 in support of University of Maine student-athlete scholarships in an event held recently at the Bangor Civic Center. The $10,000 grand prize was won by Brewer’s Mark Braveman.
A week-long trip to Hawaii for two and the $10,000 grand prize helped the event sell out for the fourth straight year.
The Black Bear Board of Advisors, a community group of volunteers that assist Maine Athletics with fundraising, coordinated the event. The silent auction raised $2,300 and the live auction raided $3,000.
The Super Suppah has raised more than $110,000 for athletic scholarships in four years.
