DeWitt, Norsworthy pace Big East Senior teams

HERMON – Ellsworth’s Corey DeWitt scored 27 points Tuesday to lead the Big East Senior All-Stars Blue team to a 109-81 victory over the White team at the Hermon High gym.

Dem Katsiaficas of Ellsworth scored 18 points for the Blue team and John Bapst of Bangor’s John Burke added 16 points. Bucksport’s Todd Freeman had 14 points and Jordan Haines of Caribou had 11 points.

Presque Isle’s Gabe Cheney paced the White squad with 16 points and Nick Robinson of Hermon had 15 points. Mount Desert Island of Bar Harbor’s Sean Parady and Hermon’s Ben Hinton scored 10 points apiece.

At Hermon, Angela Norsworthy of Presque Isle scored 14 points to lift the Big East Senior All-Stars Blue team over the White team.

Mount Desert Island of Bar Harbor’s Susan Falt had 13 points for the Blue team and MDI’s Lindsey Lewis scored 11 points.

Bucksport’s Katie Hurd scored a game-high 16 points for the White team. Maryann Pluff of Foxcroft Academy had 14 points and John Bapst of Bangor’s Lauren Nichols added 12 points.
