ROCKPORT – The Midcoast Chapter of the Maine Women’s Network is planning a business dinner on April 4. The event will feature Karin Anderson, executive director of the Maine Women’s Fund, who will give a talk titled “Women Standing Together: The Payoff of Investing in Women.”
“We really are fortunate to have Karin Anderson as our April speaker,” said Vicki Corrington, co-chairwoman of MMWN, in a prepared statement. “She is able to show, from personal experience, how rewarding it is to be an advocate for other women at the local, regional, national and international levels.”
Anderson will discuss her work with women business leaders and how it has raised both the visibility and profitability of their businesses.
MMWN’s monthly programs are held on the first Wednesday of every month and are designed to be a networking opportunity for businesswomen in the midcoast region.
The meeting will be held at the Samoset Resort, 220 Warrenton St. in Rockport, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cost, which includes a three-course dinner, is $18 for chapter members and $25 for nonmembers. Nonmembers are always welcome.
Pre-registration is required for all participants by Wednesday, March 28. Register online at www.mainewomensnetwork.com by clicking the “Event Registration” link.
Upcoming MMWN events, all held on the first Wednesday of the month, include Ellen Golden, executive director of Coastal Enterprises Inc., on May 2; and filmmaker Dana Rae Warren on June 6.
