BANGOR – Three stores have left The Broadway Shopping Center, and the property’s owners are now seeking new tenants.

Fashion Bug, The Dollar Store and another unidentified business have left, according to Darryl Cater, spokesman for Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust Inc., the Oak Brook, Ill.-based company that owns and leases commercial space in the strip mall.

“We’ve had significant interest in these properties. The [Bangor] Mall area is soaking up inventory, so national retailers are seeking out the Broadway corridor,” Cater said.

Inland Western purchased the shopping center for $15.2 million a little more than a year ago, Cater said. Its anchor stores are Hannaford Supermarket and TJ Maxx ‘n More.

The center consists of 187,000 square feet, 15,834 square feet of which are available for lease.
