The Rev. Tom Joyce, a retired Navy Top Gun captain who flew for some scenes in the Tom Cruise movie “Top Gun” will be guest speaker at the daylong Maine Men’s Summit on March 31. Joyce, now pastor of Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield, Va., will lead the morning session at Bangor Baptist Church, 1476 Broadway. Stephen Arterburn, the founder and chairman of New Life Ministries in Laguna Beach, Calif., also will speak. He has written more than 60 books including the “Every Man’s Battle” series and hosts a nationally syndicated radio program, New Life Live. The event also will include 10 small breakout sessions.
