An Israeli woman and a Palestinian from Hebron will use a forum at Bangor Theological Seminary to explain how they found hope after the violent deaths of family members. “From Revenge to Reconciliation” will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the Commons on the seminary’s former campus on Union Street. The program is sponsored by Israeli Palestinian Bereaved Families for Peace. Neila Cassouto, an Israeli woman who lost her husband in the Israeli Air Force, and Ali Abu Awwad, a Palestinian who lost his brother in the sectarian violence, will speak about their shared grief. They are part of an organization that believes through shared grief Israelis and Palestinians can come together to console and support one another and to seek peace. Call Georgia Kosciusko at 296-2952.
