ORONO – The University of Maine Athletic Department will be chartering a fan bus to St. Louis for the men’s hockey NCAA Frozen Four.
In the first round, Maine will face Michigan State on April 5. The Frozen Four final will be held April 7 at 7 p.m.
The bus will leave Alfond Arena on April 3 at 7 p.m. and return on April 7 after the championship game. The cost of the bus trip to and from St. Louis plus tickets for each game is $640.
The athletic department will secure rooms at a local hotel for all travelers in the vicinity of the Scottrade Center. Hotel costs are the responsibility of the traveler. Travelers should plan on three nights’ lodging.
A minimum of 30 individuals is required for the bus trip. If fewer than 30 people sign up, the bus trip will not take place. The registration deadline is noon Wednesday.
Tickets to the Frozen Four will be available for sale on a first-come, first-served basis at the Alfond Arena box office starting today at 8:30 a.m. on a walkup basis and by phone at 581-2327.
