FORT MYERS, Fla. – Evon Hudspeth drove in four runs on two hits, including a three-run home run in the first inning, to lead the University of Southern Maine to a 11-1 victory over Oberlin College in the second game of a college softball doubleheader Monday.
The Huskies defeated SUNY-Potsdam in the first game 8-3.
In the first game, Christen Lachapelle drove in two runs on a triple. The Huskies scored six runs in the seventh inning to seal the victroy.
In the second game, Sabrina Sevigny drove in two runs on a pair of hits while Kristina Grondin added three hits and an RBI for USM.

At Phoenix, Williams College scored 10 runs in the fourth inning and eight in the fifth as it defeated Colby College at the Greater Phoenix Invitational.
Tom Salemy had a double and a triple for Colby of Waterville. Ryan Conlon and John Murphy each added a double for the Mules.

Colby, Oberlin split
At Phoenix, Nick Spillane’s bases-loaded single in the eighth brought in Brian Liberty with the game-winning run as Colby College earned an 8-7 win over Oberlin College in the second game of a Sunday doubleheader.
The Mules dropped the opener 6-1.
In the first game, Oberlin’s Jack Dunn tossed a two-hitter. Colby starter Justin Clark also went the distance, giving up four hits.
In the second game, Ryan Conlon had a triple and two RBIs for Colby. Spillane, Andy Carr and Brian Liberty each added two hits for the Mules.
