PORTLAND – Thursday’s snowstorm forced the postponement of the Portland Sea Dog’s opener at Hadlock Field.

Depending on the weather nad field conditions, the Sea Dogs will attempt to open today at 6 p.m. against Connecticut when Portland will also be awarded its championship rings for winning last year’s Eastern Division title.

No makeup date has been announced for Thursday’s postponed game. Fans with tickets for the April 5 opener may exchange their tickets at the Hadlock Field box office for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any 2007 Sea Dogs home game, subject to availability. Any questions regarding tickets should be directed to the Sea Dogs Box Office at 207-879-9500 or by email to tickets@seadogs.com.

This marks the third time in franchise history that the Sea Dogs have been forced to postpone opening day due to snow.
