BANGOR – An Ellsworth woman was summoned Wednesday for displaying a fictitious inspection sticker.

Officer Dan Harrick noticed a faded inspection sticker on Amanda Palmacci’s car while she was driving on Perry Road.

Harrick pulled over Palmacci, 40, at about 5:15 p.m. and discovered that the sticker was a photocopy of an original with no information on the back. The sticker was attached to the windshield with clear tape.

Palmacci said her mechanic, a private person and not a commercial garage, gave her the sticker. According to Harrick, the rusty vehicle wouldn’t pass inspection.

A date for Palmacci’s court date was not available Wednesday.
