Wellington

It’s back to town meeting for residents, who took no action at the annual town meeting last month on three articles that were incorrectly worded.

The special town meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, in the town office.

Residents will be asked to raise either $15,000 recommended by selectmen or the $17,020 recommended by the budget committee for salaries of town officials.

In conjunction with that vote, residents will decide whether to raise $1,200 or $1,300 for Social Security requirements. Residents also will act on the pay for a sexton.

Two other matters will need voter attention. Residents will be asked to raise $4,500 to pay for the annual audit and to elect a planning board. (Diana Bowley, BDN)
