Ellen Sevigny

Hartwick College’s Ellen Sevigny of Mount Desert was selected as the Collegiate Water Polo Association Northern Division Player of the Week. The junior posted eight points in two games last week as Hartwick extended its win streak to 14 with victories over Brown and Harvard.

Emily Artesani

Emily Artesani of the University of Southern Maine was named the LEC Track Athlete of the Week. Artesani qualified for the New England Division III Championships with her times in the 100 and 200-meter dash at the Bates Iditarod Classic. Her 200-meter time of 26.79 marks the third fastest in Southern Maine history.

Melissa Bellemore

Melissa Bellemore of the University of Southern Maine was selected as the LEC Field Athlete of the Week. Bellemore qualified for both the New England Division III Championships and the ECAC Division III Championship in the pole vault. She cleared 11 feet to earn a first place finish in the event.

Craig Spann

University of Southern Maine senior Craig Spann was chosen as the LEC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. Spann earned Player of the Week honors for the first time this season posting a pair of wins against Endicott and UMass-Boston as the Huskies finished the week 2-1.

Josh Warren

University of Southern Maine’s Josh Warren was honored as the LEC Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Week. Warren, earning Rookie of the Week honors for the second consecutive week, posted a pair of wins against Endicott 7-5, 7-5 and UMass-Boston 6-4, 7-6 and 7-2.
