The USS Iwo Jima Association will hold a reunion for all ship’s company and embarked Navy and Marine Corps personnel of USS Iwo Jima, LPH2/LHD7; USS Okinawa, LPH3; USS Tripoli, LPH10 and CVE64; and USS New Orleans, LPH11.

The reunion will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10, through Saturday, Oct. 14 in Chicago, Ill.

The 65th anniversary of the Battle of Midway will be commemorated from Wednesday, May 30, to Wednesday, June 6.

The trip is organized by Military Historical Tours and begins in Honolulu. It includes several days of historic symposiums on the impact of the battle and the war, and a full-day visit to Midway Island on Monday, June 4, the anniversary of the battle.

The return will be led by Navy Adm. Ron Hays, chairman of the Pacific Aviation Museum.
