BANGOR – Cara Bilodeau, of the Maine Women’s Policy Center, will give a talk 1-2:20 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, in 138 Eastport Hall, University College of Bangor.
Her topic will be “Maine State Government: How It Affects Women and Why More Women Should Run for Office.”
Bilodeau, who joined the Maine Women’s Policy Center as community organizer in February 2005, will review current Maine legislation affecting women and girls and address why most issues are considered “women’s” issues and why more women need to run for office.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Kay Retzlaff at 262-7760 or kay.retlzaff@maine.edu.
