Twelve-year-old Rikki is a friendly, smart and creative girl who enjoys reading, riding her bike, and figure skating.
She is a beautiful girl with long brown hair, brown eyes and a captivating smile.
Recently, Rikki began taking ice-skating lessons and has shown some real talent. She likes to be on the ice and doesn’t mind being cold.
She also has an interest in music and plays the clarinet. She has joined the school band and is enjoying the performances the most.
Rikki also likes to write, draw and dance. She is an artistic girl. Rikki enjoys school and does fairly well there. She attends public school full time.
Rikki would do best in an environment in which caregivers are nurturing and give clear, consistent limits and boundaries. Rikki would do best in an adoptive family with older children.
An adoption subsidy may be available to the most appropriate family.
Rikki is one of the 153 children in the care of the state Department of Health and Human Services who are seeking an adoptive family.
Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care.
