FORT KENT – The University of Maine at Fort Kent will hold a talk by Doriz Metz on French language revitalization in the St. John Valley at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, in Nadeau Hall Teleconference Room.

Metz researched the French language program at Fort Kent Elementary School. Teachers and pupils in grades one through five were invited to participate in a case study.

Metz also researched language diversity and the power of language, global bilingual language maintenance and revitalization programs, and second language acquisition.

Results of the study will be shared with the community during the talk. Admission is free.
