ORRINGTON – Town selectmen are holding two public hearings Monday to see what the public thinks about a proposed ordinance to regulate shooting ranges in town and whether the town should sign an agreement with Brewer to establish a jointly owned and operated business and industrial park.

The public hearings begin at 6 p.m. in the Central Drive School cafeteria. After the hearings, town selectmen will open a regular meeting, which among other items includes deciding on whether to present the two public hearing items to voters for final approval at the June annual town meeting.

Copies of the agreement and the proposed ordinance are available at the town hall and on the town’s Web site: orrington.govoffice.com.

Selectmen also will continue the discussion on replacing the town hall and will review a request to reduce the speed limit on the East Bucksport Road.
