One moment in reality television that I would have loved to have seen, and I missed it.

No, I’m not a fan of the “Flavor of Love” spin-off “I Love New York,” but when I read on Reality TV World’s Web site that Tango withdrew his proposal to New York during the reunion special, I knew I’d missed a reality TV moment in history.

The show is trashy – more sleazy than its inspiration – but much like “Jerry Springer,” it’s hard to stop watching once you’ve tuned in for a few minutes.

Tango proposed to New York during the show’s season finale, but the two weren’t allowed to see each other for four months until the reunion episode, according to Reality TV World. Apparently Tango was shocked by the behavior he saw play out on VH1 and couldn’t face a life of trash talk from New York.

Maybe being dissed a third time will teach New York to play nice.

After all, we can’t forget Flava Flav denied her his love and affection on not one, but two, seasons of his “Bachelor”-like show “Flavor of Love.”

Reality relationships appear to be falling apart all over the place as Gretchen Bonaduce, co-star of VH1’s “Breaking Bonaduce” really does try to break her husband by filing for divorce.

The Associated Press reported that Gretchen Bonaduce wants custody of the couple’s two young children and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for wanting the split.

Let’s just hope ABC’s “Bachelor,” U.S. Navy Lt. Andy Baldwin, is luckier in love now that he’s narrowed the playing field in his quest for romance.

This spring, ABC also is on another quest in search of the next great film director. “On the Lot” is created by Mark Burnett and film great Steven Spielberg. Together they are searching the country for the man or woman who will create the next big box office hit.

Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s going to be much of a hit for ABC. But who knows. This season’s “American Idol” has been dreadful and still seems to be bringing in the viewers.

Also on the “Idol” front, don’t forget to log onto the Reality Bytes blog at www.bangornews.com to find out how you can win tickets to the show.
