Friday’s youth day at Alfond Stadium will include a skills clinic conducted by UMaine coaches and players, an autograph and photo session, and tours of football facilities. The free event begins at 5:45 p.m. and is open to students in grades 8 and below. Registration begins at 5 p.m.

The Cole scrimmage, which pits the offense against the defense, begins at 10 a.m. on Morse Field. Admission is free. UMaine also will conduct a Cole Memorial Blood Drive on May 3 from 2-7 p.m. in Dexter Lounge at Alfond Arena. Both events honor former UMaine assistant coach Jeff Cole, who died in 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer.

The UMaine football team will also be holding its first Blue-White game on May 5 at 7:30 p.m. at Alfond Stadium. There is no charge for the game. Those seeking more information may contact Eric Whitman at 735-3970.
