Maine courts will hold their spring administrative week from Monday, April 30, through Friday, May 5.

Clerks’ offices in the state’s District and Superior courts will be open from noon to 4 p.m. The offices normally are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The temporary hours will allow court personnel to catch up on paperwork without interruption, according to the Administrative Office of the Courts in Portland.

A similar administrative week was held last fall.

Judges also will have an opportunity to catch up on research and writing, because only emergency matters will be heard in courtrooms around the state.

Clerks offices and courts will resume normal business hours on May 7.
